The Perfect Limousine Rental for Wedding Day Luxury

Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime moment in time, and finding the perfect limousine rental for your wedding will make the happy event even more special. Weddings are all about fantasy, luxury and style, and the last thing you want during this magical time is to deal with mundane issues like transportation. Being chauffeured in style in a classy stretch limousine ensures your marriage will get off to a comfortable and opulent start. And isn't that what we all want?

When preparing for your wedding, it is important to remember to book a limousine service early, especially if your marriage will take place in the popular summer months. Preferably, you should order your limousine 9-12 months before the big day; or if this is not possible, at least try to book the limo a few months in advance. Otherwise, you will probably find your choices of limos, chauffeurs and other services severely limited.

When booking your limo and driver for the occasion, you will normally be asked for a deposit or credit card. Deposits are fully refundable after your wedding, and only serve to protect the limousine service from last minute cancellations or
"no shows."

It is important to ask the right questions when dealing with the limousine service. For example, will the chauffer be dressed in a tuxedo, suit or other attire? Most limousine services will require their drivers to wear either a suit or a tuxedo for formal events such as weddings. If you have a preference, be sure to let the company know in advance. Also ask if the driver's tip is included in the rental fee. A normal chauffer tip is around 20% of the total rental cost.  Often this gratuity is already added to your final bill- but be sure to ask.

You will also want to enquire about the limousine itself. Ask if the vehicle is a new model, and generally, you should insist that it is no more than three years old; unless, of course, you have specifically requested a "classic" limousine.

Also consider the size of the passenger area--how many adults can the limo seat comfortably? And remember, you'll all be dressed in formal attire, so it's good to have a little extra breathing room to avoid wrinkling suits and dresses. As a general rule of thumb, always choose a limo that is a little larger than you think you need. It's better to err on the side of caution, than wind up cramped in the back of the limo on your wedding day!

Many limousine services can offer special wedding packages that include additional services and extras like "Just Married" signs, Champagne service, fresh flowers, wedding balloons, or even a "wedding march" car horn. Consider the cost versus the benefits carefully. Sometimes these "all inclusive" wedding limousine packages are a great deal, and they save you from worrying about some of the extra details of your wedding day (let's face it--you probably already have enough details to concern yourself with!).

If you need multiple limos on your wedding day, be sure to ask for a special discount, as most services will reduce the price of the second vehicle for your party.

One final tip: don't skimp on the limo service you choose. You can sometimes find "bargain basement" limo services, but as always in life, you tend to get what you pay for. Insisting on a top-notch, luxury limousine rental for your wedding will make it a special celebration you'll always remember.
